What Peter can do for you

Dr Peter Bowbrick has made or saved enormous sums of money for clients, and has saved millions of lives. He is one of the very few economists who can apply a high level of theory to real life problems and produce practical, implementable, solutions.

  •  He has persuaded the European Commission to change its policies - saving UK consumers £1 Billion a year and saving EU consumers £10 Billion a year. (Read how)
  • He has increased a company's revenue by 40%, £60m per year, in only one month's consultancy without reducing output or quality.
  • He has created markets that work, so that farmers and the food industry make money, and consumers can afford their products.
  • He has increased farmers' net cash income by 100% or more - across the sector.
  • He has stopped famines.
  • He has persuaded many governments to change their policies.

How does he do it?

To produce top quality economics like this, you need four things:

  • You have to have an outstanding knowledge of economics. You can't produce  top quality economics using third rate economic theory. Or what you remember from your undergraduate days.
  • You have to have a wide experience. Without it, even the best theory cannot achieve much.
  • You have to have the very rare ability to apply a high level of economics to the real world.
  • You have to have the consultancy skills needed to make things happen.

Peter has outstanding academic qualifications and, far more important, has produced original economic theory to tackle real world problems. He has a wide experience and he has the consultancy skills and experience.

Peter Bowbrick has an international reputation in marketing economics, in the economics of quality, grades and brands, in food policy and in the economics of famine.

PETER BOWBRICK'S EXPERIENCE

Experience makes it possible to apply your economic theory properly, and get results quickly. It means you know what questions to ask, where the problems are likely to be, and what kind of solution may work. Using the experience of one industry in an apparently unrelated industry is particularly powerful, turning up solutions and opportunities that people with a narrower experience may have missed.

Peter Bowbrick has outstanding experience as an international consultant, applying a high level of theory to a large range of problems around the world.

He has solved economic problems at all levels from national economic policy to small firms. This has included:

  • Sectoral policy reform for the food and agricultural sector.
  • Efficiency of public sector organizations.
  • Making markets work, so that firms can make a profit, and consumers can afford to buy their product.
  • Efficiency of firms, making a firm an extra £60m a year at one level, and increasing the profits of small firms at the other.

He has worked on the problems of

  • Supermarket chains
  • Small retailers
  • Exporters
  • Manufacturers
  • Wholesalers
  • Farmers

He has worked for the United Nations, the World Bank, the EC, the Asian Development bank and many national governments as well as with private firms.

Peter Bowbrick has an international reputation in marketing economics, the economics of quality, grades and brands, agricultural economics, food policy and the economics of famine.

Working with Different Cultures

Peter Bowbrick has worked in dozens of countries around the world. He is used to working with different national cultures. He also recognizes the different cultures he meets in the public and private sector, in different industries, and in different parts of a single country.

He specializes in marketing economics, the economics of quality, grades and brands, policy and the economics of famine.
